AI Receptionist for Locksmiths
Johnni answers the lockout the second it rings, gets where they are and what they are locked out of, tells them the call-out fee and the ETA, and sends you the job. The rekeys, safes and commercial work get booked properly in the daytime, without you stopping to answer them.
Plans start at $44/mo No contract.

Why locksmiths lose the after-hours jobs
A lockout at night does not leave a voicemail. It rings the next locksmith on the list, and the after-hours job is the one that pays.
Lockouts need an answer now
Someone locked out at night will keep calling until somebody picks up.
Johnni answers the lockout instantly and gets the location and the details.
Callers want the fee and the ETA
Price and arrival time decide who gets the job.
It tells the caller your call-out fee and ETA, then sends you the job.
Night work and day work are different
Lockouts need dispatching. Rekeys and safes can be booked.
It sends urgent work straight to you and books rekeys, safes and commercial jobs into the day.
Some calls are not worth taking
Unverified access requests and time-wasters come with the job.
It follows your rules on proof of residence and the jobs you do not do.
Night work and day work are different phones.
After hours, dispatch now
- House, unit or car lockout
- A break-in that needs securing tonight
- A business that cannot lock up
- A lost key with a safety concern
Daytime, book properly
- Rekey after a tenant moves out
- New locks after a separation
- A commercial master key system
- A safe that will not open, no rush
The lockout that rings at 11pm does not leave a voicemail. It rings the next locksmith in the list.

Where, what, who, how much, how long.
Where they are
The address, or the closest thing to it if they are standing in a car park. Johnni reads it back and asks for a landmark if it is unclear.
What they are locked out of
House, unit, car, office, a shed. Deadlock, knob set, digital lock, a car key locked inside. It sets who goes and what they bring.
Whether they can prove it is theirs
Johnni tells them the locksmith will need to see ID matching the address, or the car registration, before opening anything. If they cannot, it says so now rather than at the door.
The fee and the time
Your after-hours call-out fee, quoted on the call and confirmed by text. Then the ETA, from your rules for that suburb and that hour.
Keys inside, door shut, 11:05pm.
Hi, I have locked myself out of my unit and my keys are inside.
We can get you back in. What is the address?
Unit 7, 14 Boundary Street, Spring Hill.
Unit 7, 14 Boundary Street, Spring Hill. Is it the front door of the unit, and is it a normal key lock or a deadbolt?
Normal key lock, it just clicked shut behind me.
Okay. The locksmith will need to see some ID with that address on it before opening, or a lease on your phone. Do you have that?
My licence is inside, but I have my lease in my email.
That is fine. The after-hours call-out is $180, and a latch lockout is usually opened without damage. The locksmith can be there in about 35 minutes. Do you want to go ahead?
Yes please.
Done. You will get a text now with the fee and the locksmith’s name. Stay somewhere lit and they will ring you when they are a few minutes away.
Agents, strata and the ones to walk away from.
| The caller | What Johnni does | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Real estate agent, rekey between tenants | Property, number of doors, key handover | A booked job with the paperwork |
| Strata manager | Building, common doors, work order | A message with the reference |
| Someone who cannot prove the property is theirs | Explains the ID rule and does not dispatch | No risky job |
| Car key replacement | Make, model, year, whether they have any key | The right kit in the van |
| A quote for a full house | Doors, lock types, whether keyed alike | A priced visit |
Works with the software locksmiths already run
Google Calendar is included on every plan. ServiceM8, Simpro and Tradify, and other job software, connect as a custom integration scoped to how you work.
If your software has an API, Johnni can usually work with it. Ask us about yours.
Two service lines. 179 jobs booked.
There is no locksmith case study on the site yet. The closest is a trade business that quotes its call-out fee after hours before putting the caller through. A New Zealand business runs plumbing and electrical as two separate receptionists, each with its own script and pricing. After hours, the call-out fee is quoted before the caller is put through.

Frequently asked questions
Will it handle after-hours lockouts?
That is the main reason locksmiths use it. It answers instantly at any hour, gets the address and the lock, explains the ID check, quotes your after-hours fee and gives an ETA from your rules, then sends you the job.
Does it ask for proof of ownership?
It tells every lockout caller the locksmith will need ID matching the address, or the vehicle registration, before opening. If they say they cannot provide it, the job is not dispatched and you are told why.
Can it quote my call-out fees?
Yes, day and after-hours fees, by suburb if you price that way. The fee is quoted on the call and confirmed by text before the locksmith leaves.
Can it give an ETA?
From the rules you set: which locksmith is on, which area, what hour. It never promises a time you have not set.
What about rekeys and commercial work?
Booked in the daytime with the property, the number of doors, the lock types and whether they want them keyed alike. Real estate and strata work gets the work order attached.
How much does it cost?
Plans start at $49 a month plus GST, or $44 a month paid annually, up to $899 for the highest call volumes. Every plan includes a set number of calls and minutes, then a per minute rate, with a 7 day free trial and no lock-in contract.
Answer every lockout, even the ones at 3am.
Seven days free. Give it your fees, your ID rule and your ETA rules, then ring it from outside a locked door.
