AI Receptionist for Concreters
Johnni answers while the truck is backing in, gets the square metres, the finish, what is there now and whether a truck can reach the slab before it books anything, and puts the site visit into the week you are already in that suburb.
Plans start at $44/mo No contract.
Why concreters lose jobs mid pour
Nobody answers the phone with a truck backing in. The enquiry that rings during a pour goes to whoever picks up.
You cannot stop a pour to answer
Concrete does not wait while you take a call.
Johnni answers every call and books the site visit while you finish the pour.
Quotes need the square metres first
Without size, finish and what is there now, you cannot price the job.
It gets the square metres, the finish and what needs removing before booking.
Access decides the job
Whether a truck can reach the slab changes the price and the plan.
It asks about truck and pump access before anyone drives out.
Small jobs cost you a day
Driving across town for a few square metres of path is a lost day.
It checks the suburb and size, and books visits into the weeks you are nearby.
A job worth the drive, or a phone call that saves one.
Worth the visit
- A driveway, patio or shed slab with real metres
- A house slab with plans and a start date
- A commercial floor with a builder behind it
- A job in a suburb you are already in this week
Handled on the phone
- A small repair you do not do
- A suburb outside your area
- Someone with no idea of size or budget yet
- A supply-only question for a batching plant
The measure up you drove to last Tuesday was eight square metres of path behind a locked gate in a suburb you do not service.
An AI receptionist that knows what a concreter needs to ask

- Collects square metres, finish and the existing surface
- Checks truck and pump access
- Books site visits into the weeks you are nearby
- Handles builders, suppliers and your crew on your rules
- Follows up quotes on the Starter plan
Metres, finish, what is there now, and how the truck gets in.
What and how big
Driveway, shed slab, patio, path, house slab. Rough square metres, or the length and width if they can pace it out. Customers usually can, and roughly is enough to decide whether it is a visit.
The finish
Plain, broom, exposed aggregate, coloured, stencilled, polished. It sets the price band and who quotes it, and Johnni asks it in plain words so the customer is not guessing.
What is there now
Grass, old concrete, pavers, a slope. Removal and excavation are half the cost of some jobs, and the customer rarely mentions it unless asked.
Access
Can a truck get close, is a pump likely, is there a side gate and how wide, is it a battle axe block. Johnni asks, and the estimator arrives knowing whether it is a barrow job.
A driveway with old concrete and a narrow street.
Hi, I am after a quote to redo our driveway.
Sure. Roughly how big is it? Length and width is fine if you know it.
About 15 metres long and 3 wide, maybe a bit wider at the top.
So around 45 to 50 square metres. Is there concrete there now, or something else?
Old cracked concrete.
Okay, so that comes out first. What finish were you thinking? Plain, exposed aggregate, coloured?
Exposed aggregate, we like the look of it.
Good choice for a driveway. One thing that matters for the price: can a concrete truck get close to it, or is it a narrow street or a steep drive?
The street is pretty narrow, and there is a slope.
Thanks, that helps. What suburb?
Mitchelton.
We are in that area Thursday. Rob can measure up at 8am or 3:30pm.
3:30.
Booked. You will get a text confirming Thursday 3:30. If you can send a photo of the driveway from the street to that number, Rob can plan the pour before he arrives.
Builders, suppliers and the crew.
| The caller | What Johnni does | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Builder wanting a slab price | Plans, engineering, timing, site address | A quote request with the drawings coming |
| Batching plant confirming a pour time | Takes it against the job | No interruption mid pour |
| A crew member asking which site | Takes the question as a message | A note, not a phone call on the screed |
| A customer chasing a start date | Reads your schedule and confirms | A calm customer |
| Something you do not do | Says so kindly, refers if you want | No cancellation later |
Works with the software concreters already run
Google Calendar is included on every plan. ServiceM8, Tradify and Simpro, and other job software, connect as a custom integration scoped to how you work.
If your software has an API, Johnni can usually work with it. Ask us about yours.
An exterior cleaning business booked 266 jobs without touching the phone.
There is no concreting case study on the site yet. The closest is a business that books driveway and exterior jobs straight from the call. A Sydney exterior cleaning business runs Johnni on its inbound line. House washes, driveways and gutters are priced from the questions it asks, and the booking goes straight into the run.

Frequently asked questions
Will it ask the square metres before booking a visit?
Yes. It asks the size, or the length and width, and works it out on the call. Roughly is enough to decide whether the visit is worth making.
Does it ask about access?
Every time. Truck access, whether a pump is likely, side gate width, slope, battle axe blocks. It is the question that changes a concrete price the most and the one most often missed.
Can it turn away jobs I do not do?
You set the list. Small repairs, suburbs outside your area, polished floors if you do not do them. Johnni says no kindly and refers if you give it a name.
Can it group measure ups by suburb?
It reads your calendar and offers the day you are already in that area first, so the estimator is not driving across town for a single visit.
What about builders and commercial work?
Builder enquiries are captured with the plans, engineering and timing, and routed to whoever prices commercial work rather than treated as a domestic quote.
How much does it cost?
Plans start at $49 a month plus GST, or $44 a month paid annually, up to $899 for the highest call volumes. Every plan includes a set number of calls and minutes, then a per minute rate, with a 7 day free trial and no lock-in contract.
Finish the pour. Let it take the call.
Seven days free. Give it your finishes, your suburbs and your questions, then ring it about fifty square metres of exposed aggregate.
